Supposed to be cleaning......

....and getting rid of some of my stuff.  My daughter and 2 grands are coming to stay in June until she gets everything ready to go to Hawaii...So I need space and need to give up my craft room.   I don't mind.  It can all go in hubby's closet (tee hee).....and the bedroom.

But in my quest to get this accomplished, I came across this.....Blue and yellow upholstery ticking.

And it was going to go in the thrift store pile.  But.....I thought...WAIT.........I can whip up something out of it, after all, I GOT it at the thrift store to use...........

I have these dye cut hearts and cats that I bought 3 years ago, Again, to make something with them.

So, I just started cutting, and sewing, and glueing.  Here's what I ended up with...

An Eyeglass case.......need that!

A couple of mini purses.  I just covered over the craft purses from HL.

And this cute little banner for a child's room.

That's it!  Now to finish trying to "clean".  LOL

The banner & bags will soon be in my Etsy shop.

Have a great week.

A nice day....

Today, John and I went to Memorial Hermann in the Houston Med Center, for a celebration they had for the 100th TAVR procedure.

Got to meet alot of the team that performed his procedure this past December and we sat at the table of the first recipiant, Martha and her husband were so sweet.  He was quite a devilish character and at 85 yrs young (he looked 65) he really entertained us.  They served a nice buffet lunch with salmon, chicken, salad, fruit, asparagus, and berry shortcake for dessert.

Here are a few scans from my books I found.  Feel free to save the images and use them any way you'd like.

I like the first one.

And another

Thanks for stopping by and visiting!

French Sachets

Last year, while I was laid off, I was out at the thrift stores, and came across a huge lot of clip art books with victorian, french and other advertising images, I must have about 10 of them.

I never really had much time after got my job to really check them out and make anyhting form htem until today.

Here are just a few pages of some of the really neat copyright free images.

Anyhow, in my excitement, I cut one out and saved the image here.  And I am not very computer savvy either. LOL

Please feel free to save this image and use in your projects.  I am a sharing kind of folk!

Anyways, I decided to make some sachets with this image...

I decided to use some tea stained muslin I had on hand, I ironed the fabric to the waxy side of freezer paper, cut it to 5x7, and ran it through the printer.  I think these turned out very cute and they will be for sale in my Etsy shop.

The one with the ruffle on the botom is hanging from this shelf I made last year.  I have another one ready to finish soon.  I will be using one of these graphics for it...but that's another day...It will probably take me a month the way I get things done!

Thank you all for checking in and I really enjoy your comments.  (even if I don't always say so...I am a clam......:)... )
